Pregnancy Acupuncture in Highlands Ranch

Gentle, experienced support throughout every stage of pregnancy.

Pregnancy is a time of profound physical, emotional, and energetic change. Acupuncture can offer gentle, grounding support throughout pregnancy — from the first trimester through birth preparation — helping the body adapt while supporting overall well-being.

I have been supporting pregnant clients for nearly two decades, often continuing care with clients I first worked with during fertility treatment. This continuity allows for individualized, attentive care that respects both the physical needs of pregnancy and the emotional experience of this transition.

First Trimester Support
The first trimester can bring significant changes, including fatigue, nausea, emotional sensitivity, and heightened stress. Acupuncture during early pregnancy is focused on calming the nervous system, supporting digestion, easing discomfort, and helping the body adjust gently to hormonal shifts. Treatments are tailored carefully and conservatively, with pregnancy-specific considerations always in mind.

Ongoing Support During Pregnancy
As pregnancy progresses, acupuncture can help support comfort, circulation, and emotional balance. Many clients choose periodic treatments during the second and third trimesters to help with physical tension, sleep changes, stress, or simply to create space for rest and grounding. Each session is individualized based on how you are feeling at that stage of pregnancy.

Breech Presentation Support
Acupuncture and moxibustion are commonly used in late pregnancy to support optimal fetal positioning when a baby is breech. When appropriate, this work is typically done within a specific window of time and is guided carefully based on each individual situation. These treatments are best done between weeks 34-37 of pregnancy so baby has room to move. If you have questions about whether this approach may be supportive for you, I’m happy to discuss it.

Pre-Birth & Labor Preparation Acupuncture
Many clients choose weekly acupuncture beginning around weeks 36–40 of pregnancy as part of pre-birth preparation. These treatments are designed to support relaxation, circulation, pelvic balance, and nervous system readiness as the body prepares for labor. This phase of care is calm, supportive, and focused on helping you feel grounded and prepared.

Safety & Experience
Pregnancy acupuncture requires specialized training and experience. Treatments are adapted for each trimester, and contraindicated points are always avoided. My approach is gentle, attentive, and informed by years of clinical experience supporting pregnancy and women’s health.

How Pregnancy Care Connects with Fertility Care
Many clients I support during fertility continue acupuncture into pregnancy, allowing for consistency and familiarity during this important transition. Whether you are continuing care or beginning acupuncture during pregnancy, sessions are always adapted to meet you where you are. I offer gentle acupuncture support for you and baby. My goal is healthy mommas and healthy babies.

Acupuncture is safe and gentle during all phases of pregnancy.
